As we wind down this whirlwind of a year, we look back to all the blessings we’ve received. In a year of many uncertainties we were able to have our first virtual “Race for the Light,” a fitness challenge that encouraged people to get fit, spread awareness about the sufferings of others, and feed families daily. With a goal of feeding 500 families we knew it would be no easy feat but we knew that people would take this project to heart and we were absolutely blown away! Every goal we had was quickly surpassed and by the end of the last day we were able to raise over $262,000 allowing us to feed the 500 families until November 2021! We initially planned to distribute the rice from November through October, but due to a shipment delay of rice in Haiti, we will be distributing it from December through November 2021.

We have 5 distribution centers around the country of Haiti from which we will begin distributing rice. Check out the video below from our biggest distribution center which will be serving 300 families in the town of Croix-des-Bouqets.

We are so thankful to everyone who pushed hard to get miles in, asked for donations, and donated! Every donation brings hope to a mother or father who worries how she’s going to feed her family every day and allows students to focus all their energy on school. From the bottom of our heart, thank you so much!
