The first installment of the Power of Personhood Live Podcast Series took place on William Paterson University’s campus in Haledon, New Jersey. Our guest speakers Fr. Agustino Torres, CFR, and Holly Wright from Corozon Purro along with Brian Mundackal kicked off the series touching upon the topic of the dignity of a person and sparking an initiative by helping the poor within our own communities.

Like Lumen Vitae, where we are committed to empowering young people who find themselves hindered by poverty in marginalized situations around the world, on a path to abundant life through education. Corazon Purro’s vision is to transform, awake, and accompany leaders in areas of great need by uplifting holy families and the renewal of the church by a flowering of by mobilizing youth and young adult leaders. 

Our speakers touched upon Pope Francis’s Fratelli Tutti, a papal encyclical, that covers the realities of the time of great connectedness and increasing loneliness through lack of love of neighbor. They urged the audience to start encountering the heart of Christ through people they meet every day and not to keep a divided front of richness and poverty.
